Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely operate drilling equipment and machinery in accordance with company policies, industry standards, as well as environmental regulations.

• Perform drilling operations to extract mineral deposits or collect geological samples.

• Monitor drilling progress, including depth, direction, and quality of drilling. Adjust drilling parameters as necessary.

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of drilling equipment to ensure proper functioning.

• Collaborate with exploration and engineering team to plan drilling activities and optimize resource extraction.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate drilling operations.

• Report any issues or concerns regarding drilling equipment, safety hazards, or environmental risks.

• Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, including logs, reports, and equipment maintenance records.

• Develop and evaluate cost models for projects.

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Driller in the mining or exploration industry.

• Proficiency in operating various drilling equipment, such as reverse circulation, seismic, and diamond drills.

• Knowledge of drilling techniques, methodologies, and best practices.

• Familiarity with and ability to interpret geological formations, rock types, and mineral deposit identification; and adapt drilling strategies accordingly.

• Understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to drilling operations.

• Physical fitness and stamina to perform drilling tasks in challenging environments and weather conditions.

• Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.

• Problem solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues and adjust as needed.

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment maintenance tasks.

• Willingness to work in remote locations and adhere to rotational schedules.

• Valid class 5 driver’s licence and a clean driving record.

• Utmost commitment to working safely and responsibly in a mining/exploration environment.

• Entrepreneurial Mindset with a passion for constant improvement.

• Ability to express creative ideas for future development.

Pay & Benefits: Pay can be negotiated based on experience and market prices. All kilometers will be reimbursed for required travel.
